Jessie Munroe Jones Whittemore, formerly of Dalton, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Decatur, at the age of 93. Mrs. Whittemore was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, John Francis Whittemore. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Anne and Richard Price, son and daughter-in-law John Whittemore and Amy Landesberg, daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Richard Carroll, sisters Laura J. Turner and Claire J Plymel, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, at Dalton First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be sent to Dalton First United Methodist Church.
