Joe Barnett Hill, Jr.

Mr. Joe Barnett Hill, Jr., 77, of Clarkston died Saturday, December 1, 2007.He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Joe Barnett Hill, Sr. and Myrtyce Garner. Mr. Hill served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following a long career, Mr. Hill retired from the DeKalb County Police Department after 27 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Carol Hill; sons, Dennis Hill, and David New; daughters, Dianne Erwin, Dorothy Sexton, Donna New and Donna Morgan; sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 5th at Clarkston United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert White officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
