John D. Nelms, Sr. "Jake", 90, of Tucker, GA, passed away May 22, 2018. John retired from BellSouth after 37 years, he served in the Coast Guard during WWII. He was well loved and will be greatly missed. John is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Joan Nelms, his daughter; Debbie (David) Williams (deceased), his daughter; Linda (Tony) Parker, his son; Jay (Suzanne) Nelms, 11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday May 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, with Pastor Andy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home
