John Robert Jenkins
September 28, 1918 — January 3, 2011
Mr. John Robert Jenkins, 92, of Tucker died Monday, January 3, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Thelma Bailey Jenkins, and son, Robert S. Jenkins. Family members include daughters, Sylvia Buice (Phillip), Susan Odom (Jack), Shari McCoy (Mark); daughter-in-law, Susan Jenkins; eleven grandchildren, Stephen Jenkins, Amy Medley, Jason Hatfield, Holly Hatfield, Leslie Richardson, Susan Walden, Chris Pittman, Jon Pittman, Scott Odom, Jennifer O'Shields and Jamie Clark; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening and 11:00 to 1:00 Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.
