John W. Sumner

Mr. John W. Sumner, age 86, of Scottdale died Friday, January 13, 2006. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clarice B. Sumner. He is survived by his daughters, Agie Odell Sumner of Scottdale, Sharon Jane Henderson of Tucker, Theresa Annette Goss of Scottdale; son, James Edward Sumner of Scottdale; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Mike Sumner of Mississippi will officiate. Interment will follow at Prosperity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
