Joseph Michael Wheelock

Mike Wheelock, 64, of Decatur died Saturday, July 10, 2010.  A native Atlantan, Mike was an avid fisherman and hunter and will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor, quick wit and a love for old western movies especially one’s staring the “Duke”.  Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Ellen Wheelock; children, Lisa Wheelock, Shelley McAllister; Sandi Nix Smallman; mother, Sue Wheelock; and 5 grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13 at 2PM at A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
