Judith Elaine Burel
July 13, 1949 — February 27, 2013
Judy Burel, 63, of Atlanta, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. An Atlanta native, Mrs. Burel was the daughter of William James and Mary Elaine Sims. She was a retired teacher from the DeKalb County School System. Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her husband, Kent Burel; mother, Elaine Howard Sims; sons, Kevin James Burel and Christopher Michael Burel; granddaughters, Mia Burel and Juniper Burel and grandson Jacob Burel. Funeral services will be 11: 00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Kingswood United Methodist Church in Dunwoody with Rev. Brian Dale officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church followed with a procession to Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker for interment. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at A.S. Turner Funeral Home in Decatur
