Judith Elaine Ogburn, 85, of Marietta, GA, passed away on April 28, 2022 at 8:54 AM, after battling COPD for many years. She left us peacefully with family by her side, surrounding her with light and love. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother with an infectious sense of humor that will be greatly missed. Judith was a liberally minded, progressive thinker and women’s rights advocate who believed in respect, dignity, and equal rights and pay for all women. She enjoyed the freedom of driving, and loved to get in her car and “hit the road.” She had a particular affinity for the majestic beauty of mountains and of the Southwestern United States. She was an avid reader of great literature and loved reading articles and cartoons in The New Yorker magazine. She was a music lover and found immense pleasure in listening to the songs of Gershwin and Judy Garland. She was a dog lover and cherished nothing more than for her beloved cockapoo Coco to hop in her lap and while away the afternoon with her. Judith was born on January 25, 1937, to parents Albert and Merle Price in Lawton OK. After Judith graduated from Sunset High school in 1955, she went on to study art at the University of Texas at Austin. In 1958, Judith Met Edward Bellocchio in Dallas Texas. Judith and Ed had three children, Todd, Kimberly and Wendy. In 1976, Judith met her 2nd husband Joe Ogburn in Dallas, Texas. They lived happily together for 31 years. Judith was predeceased by parents Albert and Merle Price and brother Eugene Price. She is survived by her son Todd Bellocchio, his wife Terry (Farren), daughter Kimberly Bellocchio, Kimberly’s partner Kerri Dale, her daughter Wendy Gill, and her grandson Jacob Wesley Gill.
