Julie passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2026. She was born on August 9, 1961, at Schilling Air Force Base in Kansas to her parents, Lt. Robert and Virginia Allison. She is survived by her mother, Virginia (Ginger) Allison, two brothers Greg (Renee) and Derek (Cheryl), and her dog Jasper.
As a child growing up in four different states, she found it easy to make new friends. Upon her dad's retirement in 1979, Julie had no problem adjusting to Atlanta and the disco scene on Piedmont Avenue. Julie, like her dad, attended the University of Georgia. She loved rooting the bulldogs to a win and was a student when broadcaster Larry Munson called out "Hunker down you hairy dogs". Julie was the happiest when she had her own hairy dog and over the years there were many.
She loved the Lake Claire neighborhood, and it brought her much joy to live in the house her grandfather built in 1937. Accounting was her major; she worked for both Arthur Anderson and Ernst & Young.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
