Kurt Miller, a beloved individual known for his warm, selfless, often times sarcastic, and kind personality, passed away on December 23, 2025. Kurt was born on July 9, 1955, and spent his life touching the lives of those around him with his intrinsic generosity and heartfelt kindness.
Among his greatest gifts to those who knew him were the lessons he shared. Kurt was a testament to the importance of not judging others, living life to the fullest, and never taking anything for granted. A truly grateful man, he appreciated each day given to him and encouraged others to do the same. His wisdom and calm nature enriched the lives of those privileged to know him.
Kurt leaves behind a legacy of remarkable accomplishments. He spent his nearly 40-year career at Lockheed Martin, devoting his talents to several high-profile military, aerospace and defense programs. An avid tennis player in his earlier years, his love for sport continued into retirement as a passionate golfer, achieving an impressive feat of shooting a par on every hole at every golf course in Reynolds Lake Oconee. However, the achievement he was most proud of was the family he raised, instilling in them the same values of kindness, generosity, humility and work ethic that defined his character.
Kurt is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Sloan Miller, his two sons Stefan (daughter-in-law Bri) and Alec (daughter-in-law Hailey), and 2 grandsons. They will carry on his legacy and honor his memory. His warmhearted spirit, wit, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
