Larry Cecil Titshaw, age 71, passed away on September 24, 2024, from complications arising from Pancreatic Cancer. He was the second of three sons born, December 11, 1952, in Decatur Georgia, to William Tyler and Doris Florine Titshaw. After graduating from Briarcliff High School, class of 1971, he joined the United States Army. Larry served as a Medical Corpsman, completing airborne training and serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Following an Honorable Discharge, his work experience began with General Motors Manufacturing at the GM facility in Doraville Georgia where, like his Father, he retired after 30 years of service. Relying on his trade knowledge and craftsmanship he was successful in other business interests; Larry could fix or restore just about anything. He is preceded in death by his father and mother William Tyler and Doris Florine Titshaw. He is survived by his brothers Steve and David Titshaw (Laura) and his Nephew and Niece Jordan Tyler Titshaw (Stephanie) and Rachel Marie Titshaw. Larry leaves behind a legacy of hard work, honesty, loyalty and love for his family and friends and an unending faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
The service for Larry Titshaw will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM at AS Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033.
Visitation: Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at AS Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
Burial: Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made in Larry's memory to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
