Larry Herschel Wyatt passed away on May 15 at the age of 72, in Atlanta, Georgia. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite this, Larry came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Larry graduated in 1970 from Oak Grove High School in Adger, Alabama. He went on to attend Walker Junior College in Jasper, Alabama. Afterwords he joined the United States Air Force where he served for four years in New Mexico. His career included working for Delta Airlines in Nevada, Alair in Alabama, and Merchandise Mart in Atlanta. He was currently employed with Currey and Company in Atlanta, Georgia. He loved being part of the Currey work family. His heart was full of joy in serving the Lord as a deacon in the Outreach Community Church. He is survived by his sister Judy Wyatt Kennedy, niece Wanda Towers (Mike), niece Gina Votel (Patrick), great nephews Jacob and Jack Votel, brother-in-law Jan Towers, and many cousins, friends, church and work family. Larry is proceeded in death by his parents, Ruth and Grady Wyatt, sister Sherry Towers, and great niece Alyssa Votel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Outlet Community Church (Briarcliff) 3039 Briarcliff Rd. NE Atlanta, Georgia 30329.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Outreach Community Church Vision Fund.
