Laurence (Larry) Walls

Mr. Laurence (Larry) Walls, age 67, of Norcross died Wednesday, July 14, 2004.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from MARTA with an outstanding service record.  Mr. Walls was a member of the Riverdale Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post 65. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Walls of Norcross; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Suzi Walls of Newnan, GA; daughters, Dorothy Holloway of Griffin, Shari and her husband, Steve Standridge of Powder Springs, GA, Leslie and her husband, Ricky Blackmon of Stockbridge, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jimmy Rodgers of Pine Mountain, GA; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ann Walls of Warner Robins, GA; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Fredric A. Plate officiating.  Interment Gresham-Weed Cemetery in Doraville.  Flowers are accepted or those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
