Lendell Owens Jones

Mr. Lendell Owen Jones, 87, of Doraville, passed away on March, 29, 2012. He was born in Dallas, GA to Clem Jones and Jenny Lee Couch. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Lendell went on to retire from Boomershine Motors after 42 years of service. He was also a Shriner for 50 plus years. Lendell is proceeded in death by his daughter, Melinda Farmer. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Selena Jones; daughter and her husband, Andrea and Mike Alligood, son-in-law, Wayne Farmer; grandchildren, Neal Farmer, Judson Farmer, Whitney Farmer, Wade Alligood, Chad Alligood, Graham Alligood, brother, Wendell Jones and his wife, Roberta, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Jack Chalmers officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of ones choice. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services on Sunday at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
