Leona Elizabeth Nix

Leona Elizabeth Nix (Clemons) passed away on Sunday night May 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Nix, son Tim Nix, one sister and 5 brothers. She is survived by two sons, Ted R. Nix and Gideon Y. Nix, Daughter-in-law Sydney Nix, Granddaughter Beverly Nix, Grandson Clayton Nix, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nix was an active member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Ga where she served as W. M. U. Director and Sunday School teacher. She served for more than 20 years as a volunteer at Emory at Decatur Hospital (formerly DeKalb Medical Center). Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church, 4618 Redan Rd. Stone Mountain, Ga with service to follow at 12:00 PM. She will be interred at Melwood Cemetery following the service. Services are being provided by A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, GA
