Livingston Miller Demarest, Jr.

Livingston M. Demarest, Jr. "Rusty", 58 of Snellville, GA and Cambridge, Maryland died February 1, 2008 in Snellville.  He is preceded in death by: his father, Livingston M. Demarest, Sr.; a brother, Robert Merrall Demarest; and a mother-in-law, Wilma Umscheid.



Rusty loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle.  He was a 40 year member of the Local 72 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters and was a Master Plumber.  He also was a graduate of the University of Georgia, was an elder in the Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed boating.



He is survived by: his loving wife, Susan Demarest; a son, James Demarest of Marietta, GA; a daughter, Kate Lastinger and her husband Lyle of Forsythe, GA;  a grandson, Jackson Demarest of Forsythe; a mother, Charlotte Demarest; a sister Ginger DeBrosse and her husband Nelson all of Covington, GA; a father-in-law, Patrick Umscheid;  a brother-in-law, Micheal Umscheid; two sister-in-laws, Sandra Perguson and Joan Rozum;  and many other extended family and friends.



The family will receive friends today (Sunday) from 1:00 to 4:00pm at A. S. Turner & Sons.  A memorial service will be held at 4PM on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Snellville.
