Lora Antoinette Tyson

Lora Hopkins Tyson, 90, of Decatur, died April 6, 2011. A native of Meriwether County, Mrs. Tyson was retired from Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, where she worked for over 40 years. She was a long time member of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church. Mrs. Tyson was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Tyson, and is survived by her sister, Doris H. Pate of Snellville; niece, Linda Phelts and her husband, David, of Snellville; nephew, Glenn H. Pate and his wife, Deborah, of Snellville; great nephews, Dennis Pate, Kevin Pate, Brian Phelts and Scott Phelts, all of Snellville. The funeral service will be held 3 PM, Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 Friday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
