Margaret Isabel Organ passed away of natural causes on August 11, 2023, in Atlanta, Ga. Born on December 19, 1930, and raised in Chicago, IL to an Irish family in an Irish neighborhood, she became an energetic volunteer for her entire life, devoting many hours and expertise to the Saint James Hospital Auxiliary, Port Saint Lucie Civic Center, and the Port Saint Lucie Botanical Garden as a founding member. She loved to entertain and was known for her fabulous soirées, often experimenting with an elaborate menu for the first time. Considered a stylish woman by all her friends, she was always perfectly put together, never without her lipstick. Her life with her husband Bill was full of travel, jazz music, and adventure, and together they covered every square mile of the UK. Paris was another favorite destination, and Germany was tolerated for the sake of friends and her beer loving spouse. The couple retired in Sandpiper Bay, Port St. Lucie, after vacationing there yearly for over 25 years.
Marge is predeceased by: Husband William Organ, daughter Julie Blea, and son William Organ Jr. Her many surviving family include:
Daughter Leslie Lowe, daughter in law Janet Organ, grandsons Billy Organ, Sam Lowe, Charlie Lowe, Jennifer Blea, Ryan Blea, Nikki Blea, and Sarah McCarthy, and great grandsons Declan Organ and Kellan Organ.
A memorial celebration will be held at the Port Saint Lucie Botanical Garden on November 4th at 10:00 am. If you attend, please bring a story about Bill and Marge.
