Mark Daniel Curlee, 44, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Tuesday January 5, 2016, surrounded by his family after a short illness. He was the son of Reginald R. and Betty T. Curlee of Stone Mountain. Mark was a 1990 graduate of Tucker High School where he lettered in golf and football. He attended the University Of GA School Of Agriculture and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. Mark joined the United States Marine Corp where he served at 8th and I Marine Headquarters in Washington, DC. Following his service in the marines, Mark returned home and finished college, graduating from Ga College and State University. Mark was employed by CEMEX, USA in Sarasota, FL before returning to GA. Mark was a sportsman, raconteur, gourmet cook and lover of life. Mark especially enjoyed fishing and his family's farm with friends and family. Mark is survived by his wife of 20 years, Candise C. Curlee and son, Matthew Ryan Curlee; brother and his wife, Timothy and Stacy Curlee of Lilburn, uncle and aunt, Joe and Helen Curlee of Milledgeville, GA, nieces, Colleen and Kathleen Curlee of Lilburn. In lieu of flowers please send memorial gifts in Mark's memory to The United Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030-4197. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday January 8, 2016 Peachtree Road United Methodist Church followed by a family reception. His final burial will be GA National Cemetery at Canton, GA. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
