Gone Fishin’

Marty Ray Hutcheson, Sr , a Georgia native, was born on June 04, 1962.

Marty, also known as Tree Man, loved to fish, be on the lake, show off his hot-rods and play slot machines. Winning was his passion in every aspect, and giving up is something he refused to do, no matter the situations. Not only could he make a mean deal, but he really knew how to throw a party, perfect BBQ and all.

He was no stranger to everyone in the Atlanta area. He owned and operated his own tree business, also know as A-1 Dekalb Tree Service.

He passed away May 13, 2022 at 1:28 p.m, after a very short battle with a rare spinal cancer.

He is proceeded in death by his Mom and Dad – Fred and Betty Hutcheson, his forever mother-in-law- Susie Wilkie, and his lifelong best friend – Kenny Bowman.

He is survived by his ex-wife – Jean Wilkie, 8 children – Christina Enriquez, Anna Gomez, Joshua and Ray Hutcheson, and 4 other children who are minors and were asked not to be named. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; EJ, Gabryella, Daniel, Eleyas, Rico, Skyler, Lily, Maddie, RJ, JJ, Miki and Aiden. Surviving siblings include: Freda Blake, Angela Boyd, Kathy Dale, Nancy Bratcher, Keith Hutcheson.

His wishes were to be cremated and will be done so by AS Turner and Sons Funeral Home, a cremation date has not been set. Unfortunately, there will not be a viewing.

Though he is gone, we know where he will always be, he has just “Gone Fishin”
