Marvin Thorwald Thome, Jr.

Mr. Marvin T. Thome, Jr., 71, of Tucker, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Emory University Hospital after a brief illness.  He graduated from Decatur High School and Asbury College in Wilmore, KY.  Mr. Thome also graduated from Mercer School of Pharmacy in Atlanta.  He was a pharmacist for over 40 years and cared for patients in Duluth, GA for 27 years.  Mr. Thome is survived by his wife, Gail Thome of Tucker; sons, John Daniel Thome of Clermont, GA, Clay Thome of Smyrna, GA; daughter, Susanna Hafner of Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 1st in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Dr. Walter G. Sandell officiating. Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
