Elaine Howard Sims, 90, of Atlanta, died February 24, 2014. A native of Jefferson, Georgia, longtime resident of Atlanta, and a homemaker, Mrs. Sims was a member for over 50 years at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sims; daughter, Judy Burel; and son, David Sims. Mrs. Sims is survived by her son-in-law, Kent Burel; grandsons, Kevin Burel and Christopher Burel; great granddaughters, Mia Burel and Juniper Burel; great grandson, Jacob Burel; sister, Jean Hayes; brother, Dwight Howard, Sr. For those desiring, memorial donations may be made to Clairmont Hills Baptist Church, 1995 Clairmont Rd., Decatur GA 30033.
