Mary Hise

Mary Kirkland Jones Hise, 82, of Phoenix, AZ passed away July 11, 2007. Mary was born in Rochelle, GA. After high school, she moved to Atlanta where she resided until 3 years ago. Mary was a retail associate for many years, past president of N Decatur Garden Club, member of the Daughters of American Revolution, and a 50 year member of N Decatur Methodist Church. She was a loving Mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend, avid bridge player and world traveler. Mary is survived by daughter, Anita Jones Turnbow and son-in-law, Vernon Turnbow of Scottsdale AZ; sister, Peggy Sikes of Waynesboro GA; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles W Jones (Billy); husband, Charles W Jones; husband, James L Hise (Joe); parents, Thomas and Ilene Kirkland; brothers, George A Kirkland, John H Kirkland and William J Kirkland. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 pm Sunday and services will be held Monday at 10 am at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA. Burial to follow in Rock Springs, GA.
