With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jim "Mimi" Hudson Treadwell. She entered the presence of her Lord on November 2, 2026, at the age of 81.
Mimi was born on April 17, 1945, to Jim and Frances Hudson. She graduated from Avondale High School in 1963. She furthered her education at Greenleaf College in Atlanta, earning an associate degree in business administration.
She began her business career in the Merit System of DeKalb County and rose to the position of executive secretary to the commissioner's assistant. She pursued various business opportunities prior to starting her family in 1972. She loved her family with all her heart, and they were the joy of her life.
Mimi was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She never met a stranger, and her humor and laughter will live in our hearts forever. She was an excellent cook, and her desserts were legendary. Her affinity for arts and crafts developed into several small ventures that were enjoyed throughout the community.
Surviving family members include her devoted and loving husband of 59 years, Bob; her son, Spencer (Julie) Treadwell; her daughter, Jill (Chris) Denman; her grandchildren, Avery, Alli, and Zach Treadwell, and Austin and Blake Denman; her sister, Sally; her nephews, Mitch and Chad Dorsett; her niece, Mandy Perry; and a large extended family and many dear friends.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn our loss yet celebrate Heaven's gain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to two causes close to Mimi's heart: the American Diabetes Association or When Everyone Survives
