Mary Norman Mcgarity

Mary Norman McGarity, 91, of Warner Robins, Georgia, formerly of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Sunday September 30, 2012. She was a secretary with the DeKalb County Board of Education and was a member of The Church of Christ in Tucker and Warner Robins. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Hugh McGarity, Jr.; and sisters, Eula Garner and Marion Sanders. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn and Joseph Memolo of Warner Robins; grandsons Philip David and Kristin Etheridge of El Cajon, California and Brian Christopher & Jessica Etheridge of Poway, California; great-grandsons, Chase R. Etheridge and Alexander Joseph Etheridge; sister, Clara and George Kemp of Madison, Alabama; brother-in-law, W. Dudley and Sarah (Kitty) McGarity of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral services for Mrs. McGarity will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday October 3rd in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Ike Reeser officiating, followed by interment at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
