Mary Sue Briscoe Kafel

Ms. Mary Sue Kafel of Decatur died Tuesday, March 25, 2008.  A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ms. Kafel was a member of Scott Blvd. Baptist Church and was a resident of Christian Towers for 3 years.  She is survived by her sister, Betty(Bege) Owen and her husband Bob of Big Canoe, GA; niece, Dacia Edmondson and her husband DeWayne and children Owen and Kaitlyn, all of Cumming; and nephew, Jay Owen and his wife Wendy and children Max and Beth, all of Peachtree City.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 11:00 am in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Rev. Greg Smith will officiate.  Interment will be held Friday at 11 am at Congregational Cemetery, in Meansville, GA.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday morning at A. S. Turner & Sons.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Scott Boulevard Baptist Church.
