Michael Dean Groce

Michael Dean Groce, 69, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Covington, Georgia. He was born on January 12, 1957, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and spent most of his adult life in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Michael worked most of his life as a handyman and was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed playing guitar, tending to his garden, and most of all, spending time with his daughters, who were his greatest pride and joy.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Cassandra Groce and Julia Groce, of Lilburn, Georgia; his mother and stepfather, Marianne and Charles Schuler, of Denver, North Carolina; his sister, Keela Johnson (Tim), of Terrell, North Carolina; and his brother, Brent Groce (Donna), of Vinalhaven, Maine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Kelly Groce.

Michael will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. His kindness, humor, and love for his daughters will remain forever in their hearts.
