Mildred Akin Hunt
August 7, 1915 — January 31, 2012
Mrs. Mildred Akin Hunt, age 96 of Stockbridge, passed away January 31, 2012. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a retired nurse and a resident of Lake Springs Assisted Living in Buford for the last 7 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hunt and is survived by her daughters, Jo Anne H. Baughman of Flowery Branch and Mary Chandler and husband, Bobby of Lilburn; grandchildren, Debora Palacio, Rob Chandler, Mark Baughman, Kimberly Burel and Christa Kirk; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, William and Anthony Palacio, Megan, Hannah and Lauren Kirk, Brooke Filipiak and Abby Burel. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 3rd at 2:00 pm at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 6 – 8 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur.
