Mrs. Virginia D. Maine

Virginia D. Maine, 93, of Lilburn, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2016. A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Maine was the daughter of the late Grace and Carlton Dukehart. She was a 1941 graduate of Decatur Girls High School. While her husband, Bob, was fighting in Europe during WWII she was very proud to become a "Rosie Riveter"; an association in which she remains a current member. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Maine, and sister, Martha Thomas. Survivors include her devoted son, Bob Maine, and his wife Joyce; sister, Carolyn Groover; brother, Larry Dukehart; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Cynthia and four great grandchildren. She was blessed with several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Burgess will officiate. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, Decatur.
