Myrtle E. Patton

Mrs. Myrtle E. Patton of Decatur died Wednesday, February 2, 2005. She attended Georgia State College for Women at Valdosta and graduated from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Patton taught for 30 years and retired from DeKalb County School System after 15 years. She had served as a member of the Governor?s Council to select science text books. She was a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church where she also taught Sunday school. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Avery Patton; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 4th, at 2 p.m. at Decatur Cemetery. Dr. Jasper Keith will officiate.  A. S. Turner & Sons
