Olin Davis Sibert, Jr.

Mr. Olin D. Sibert, Jr., 88, of Decatur, GA was called home by his Savior on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.  He was born in Griffin, GA to Dr. Olin D. Sibert and Martha May Ballard.  Mr. Sibert was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army.  He retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company and was a faithful member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Sarah Oslin Sibert. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Robert A. Oslin; nieces, Brenda Richardson and Linda Smith; nephew, Burney Oslin; and great nephews, Brandon McAlister, Jason Smith, Kevin Smith and Austin Oslin.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 7th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Pastor Ray Warren officiating.  Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Forrest Hills Baptist Church, P.O. Box 870570, Stone Mountain, GA  30087.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
