Pamela Rose Perkins Crews
(1953 - 2026)
Pamela Rose (Perkins) Crews passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Richard Perkins.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Crews, her children, Carey Allison (Brian), Ryan Crews (Jillian), William Crews (Nadia), Mary Katherine Crews (Ade), Anna Hawk (Adam), and Timothy Crews-Anderson (Brie), and her grandchildren. They are Brian, Anna Katherine, Scarlett, Ellery, J.J., Kai, Kash, Eli, Corinne, Crews, Finn, Abby, and Matilda. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah White (Sam) and brother, Richard Perkins, Jr. (Anna).
Pam was born on January 28,1953 in Vienna, Georgia and grew up in Perry, Georgia. She, and her husband Bill, were married on September 4, 1976. They have resided in the Tucker, Georgia community for most of their married life.
Pam was a remarkable woman in every sense of the word. She graduated from the University of Georgia in three years. Her professional career spanned 30 years, teaching special needs children in DeKalb Schools. But most meaningful, were the love she shared with her husband, giving birth to and raising five children, and embracing her stepson as her own. With the birth of her first grandchild, Brian, she became known as YaYa, a name she adored and, for which, she'll always be remembered by her thirteen grandchildren.
Maya Angelou said, "Your legacy is what you do every day." That was Pam!
She never sought the lime-light but was always working behind the scenes to take care of the details for her family, her Beach Girl friends, those three special friends, and so many others. She made sure all were fed, had a place to sleep, but above all else, shared her love with them in her own special way.
Pam's Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 10:00 A.M. in the sanctuary of Shallowford Presbyterian Church, 2375 Shallowford Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30345.
