Obituary for Pamela Denise (Grigg) Gwinner

Pamela Denise Gwinner ("Pam") was born on August 15, 1956, in Marion, North Carolina, and passed away peacefully at her home in Atlanta on October 5, 2026, following a brave and unwavering battle with cancer.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Norman Grigg, and her brother, Wayne Grigg. She is survived by her loving mother, Wilma Lewis Buff; her cousin, Matthew McKinney, his wife, Lucienne, and their children-Grayson (Caitlyn), Finnegan, and Piper Beth-as well as many beloved extended family members. Pam is also survived by an exceptionally close circle of friends who were, in every way, her chosen family. Her radiant smile, generous spirit, and lively personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pam built a long and successful career as a Regional Property Manager in Atlanta. Later in her career, she served in administrative capacities at Global Ministries, Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, and Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, where she retired in 2024. She cherished these positions for their sense of community and purpose.

A passionate traveler, Pam embraced life with curiosity and joy. She was a gracious entertainer, an extraordinary cook, and a devoted lover of dogs. Her home reflected her artistic eye and zest for life-meticulously curated with meaningful pieces collected over the years. She looked forward to her annual Christmas decorating, filling her home with treasured ornaments, handmade bows, and carefully chosen pieces she had collected since childhood.

Pam was active in her community and her Homeowners Association, always contributing with kindness and enthusiasm. She was a woman of faith, and her loved ones take comfort in knowing she is reunited with family, friends, and the animals she adored-fully healed in the presence of Jesus.

A celebration of Pam's life will be held at Glenn Memorial Church. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Pam's honor to Shelters and Shelves Rescue, an organization close to her heart: https://www.sheltersxshelvesrescue.org
