Listen to Obituary

Peggy Ann Olson Tribble of Atlanta passed away peacefully December 12, 2025 at age of 89. Born August 9, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Harold Walter Olson and Amy Ahlberg Olson.

Peggy attended Bayside High School and was a graduate of Felt & Terrant Business School in New York. Following graduation, she went to work for CIT in Manhattan. She was later employed by the Bethel Methodist Home in Ossning, NY where she developed her passion for working with older adults.

In 1974 Peggy moved to Atlanta, having been recruited to join the staff of Wesley Woods Health Center as Director of Patient Activities. She retired from Wesley Woods in 1996 after having started and managed a very successful program at Budd Terrace for older adults with dementia. At the time of her death, Peggy was married to J. Lee Tribble, whom she met when they both worked at Wesley Woods.

Peggy enjoyed her retirement years and whenever she was asked, she would quickly tell you she "enjoyed every minute of it". She enjoyed reading, cooking and entertaining, decorating and travel. She and Lee were fortunate to have made numerous trips with friends to interesting places such as Alaska, the Canadian Rockies, Eastern Canada, the Pacific NW, Los Cabos, Jamaica, Antiqua, Yellowstone National Park, Ireland, Sweden (home of her ancestors), New England and Viking River Cruises on the Danube River, the Rhine River, the Douro River in Portugal as well as a 10-day cruise in Russia. She particularly enjoyed relaxing beach vacations at Mexico Beach.

Christmas was her favorite time of the year and decorating her home was something she aways looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed

Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, J. Lee Tribble, daughter, Leslie Jones Kasper, son, Michael Eric Jones (Michele); four grandchildren, Christopher S. Kasper, Samuel L. Kasper, Kate A. Jones and Emma H. Jones.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Amy Olson, her older brother, Alan Robert Olson and her son-in-law, Stephen Owen Kasper.

Her body was cremated.
