Rachel S. Underwood

Mrs. Rachel S. Underwood of Atlanta died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Her family remembers her as a soft spoken, intellectual woman with a dry wit. She loved poetry, Shakespeare, classical music, gardening and nature and British humor. She was a longtime member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marke H. Underwood and is survived by her daughter, Janet Beaulieu of Atlanta; sons Terry Underwood of Greensboro, NC, Daniel (Cindy) Underwood of Decatur; grandchildren, Louis Pierce, Shannon Underwood, Charles Thorton, Stephanie Roberts, Matthew Underwood, Kimberly Howard, Andrew Underwood, Kristopher Underwood, John Alexander Underwood, Victor Beaulieu; and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31st.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. A. S. Turner & Sons
