Ralph Davis Jr.

Ralph Davis, Jr. died peacefully on September 5th, 2026. He was born in Atlanta, GA on May 15, 1931 to Ralph Davis,Sr. and Elma B. Davis. He graduated from Decatur Boys High School in 1948 and Emory University, School of Business in 1952. After graduating from college, he served in the US Army from May 1952 to September 1954. Ralph's career was as a salesman for Guardian Life of New York in Atlanta for 41 years from November 1954 until January 1995 when he retired. Ralph married Linda Buck on May 9,1954. They had three children, Donna Lynn McNally (Tom), Ralph Buck Davis (Meg Tatgenhorst), Samuel Jeffrey Davis (Deone Nichols); grandchildren, Christina N. Davis, Matthew McNally (Andrea) and Christopher McNally (Korinne); great-grandchildren, Sophia and Buzz Bergstresser, Evelyn and Mae McNally, and Rhett Davis. In 1976 Ralph and Linda purchased an oceanfront condo in Walea, Maui. They enjoyed Hawaii in their free time with friends and family until their retirement. Maui was Ralph's favorite spot to be with their family and friends. He also felt lucky enough to live in Charleston, SC, Seabrook Island, SC, and several homes on Hiton Head Island, SC. Ralph is preceded in death by both of his parents, his only sister Gloria Davis Evans, and his grandson Ralph Buck Davis, Jr. At Ralph's request there will be no public service.
