Rebecca Lynn Harbin, 72, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, June 29, 2026, at 4:09 a.m.
A native of Atlanta, Becky was born on August 25, 1953, to William Byron and Elizabeth Marion Dillingham.
She attended public schools in the Decatur area and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation, she married Wayne Roy Nunnery while he was serving in the United States Air Force in Spokane, Washington. They were married on September 27, 1971, and welcomed their son, David Wayne Nunnery, on August 4, 1972.
The family spent two years in Washington and five years in Michigan before returning to the Atlanta area. Becky and Wayne shared a happy marriage until Wayne's passing in 1982.
Following Wayne's death, Becky worked in both office and restaurant positions for many years while faithfully providing for herself and David.
On October 27, 1990, Becky found love again when she married John Harbin. Together, they built a life in the Atlanta area and shared nearly 35 years of marriage.
Their son, Joshua Lance Harbin, was born on September 7, 1991, in Atlanta. Becky also lovingly welcomed John's two children, Jeremiah and Angie, into the family.
Becky is survived by her husband, John Harbin; her sons, David Wayne Nunnery and Joshua Lance Harbin; her stepchildren, Jeremiah Harbin and Angie Harbin; her younger sister, Judy Ann Briggs of Stockbridge, Georgia; and her younger brother, Dr. Paul Christopher Dillingham of Decatur, Georgia.
She is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson through David, as well as one granddaughter through Joshua.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033, on Friday, July 3, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Becky's life will follow at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will take place on Monday, July 6, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084. A Russian Orthodox funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church in Roswell, Georgia, followed by interment at 4:00 p.m.
