Reuban Alexander Day, Jr.

Dr. R. A. Day, Jr. of Atlanta died Sunday April 24, 2005. He was a chemistry professor at Emory University for 37 years and co-authored two textbooks. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Gates Day; children, Peter William Day and wife Susan Lovell, Michael Allen Day and wife Sharon Francis, Timothy Gates Day and wife Melinda Sizemore, Patricia Day and husband Edward Mach; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28th . Rev. Larry Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons
