Rosetta Taylor was born on July 9, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Lila Taylor Hodges and Augusta Hodges Sr. From an early age, she was raised in the church, where she developed a deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith remained the foundation of her life, providing her with strength, hope, and peace through every season. Rosetta later met the love of her life, Richard Taylor, and they were united in holy matrimony. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with five children: Tony Taylor, Richard Taylor Jr., Diane Taylor Nalls, Tina Taylor Tisdale, and Elyse Holmes. Being a wife and mother was one of Rosetta's greatest joys, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to the well-being of her family.

Rosetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Tony Taylor, Richard Taylor Jr., Diane Taylor Nalls, Tina Taylor Tisdale, and Elyse Holmes.

She was the proud grandmother of Terrell Sykes, Quintavious Taylor, the late Jamal Lands, Mia J. Taylor, Kya Taylor, Jason Nalls Jr., Miasia L. Taylor, Jennifer Nalls, Paris M. Bennett, Jaihanna Nalls, Aria Leigh Tisdale, and Lance O. Holmes. She was also blessed with four cherished great-grandchildren: Mariah Taylor, Mai'leah Taylor, MaKayden Taylor, and Major Taylor, each of whom brought great joy to her life.

Rosetta is also survived by her beloved maternal aunt, Ruthie Marcus, the family's cherished matriarch and oldest living family member. She leaves behind her loving siblings: Laverne Ivory Roquemore; Lillie Hodges Douse (Myron Douse); Americus King Wootson (Randy Wootson); Louise Hodges Chapman (John Chapman); Pauline King Solomon; Ann Hodges Peters; Genies Hodges Brogdon; Bernice Hodges Fox (Paul Fox); and Marty Hodges (Keisha Hodges). Rosetta also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, wisdom, and memories they shared with her.

Those who knew Rosetta knew she loved deeply and lived authentically. She was loving, strong-willed, and unapologetically opinionated-a woman who spoke her mind while always caring deeply for those she loved. She had a joyful spirit, and if you were fortunate enough to spend time with her, you might find her dancing around the house or singing along to her favorite Johnny Taylor songs. Those moments of laughter and music will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

After courageously battling ovarian cancer, the Lord gently called Rosetta home on June 30, 2026. Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that she is now free from pain and resting peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rosetta's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, perseverance, unconditional love, and devotion to her family. Her legacy will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
