Roy Williams, 75, passed away on May 17, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was born on July 6, 1950, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Dan and Elizabeth Williams. Roy lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and quiet strength. He graduated from Sylvan High School in Atlanta, Georgia, and later from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He enjoyed a long and successful career in sales, where his steady presence and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Roy was deeply passionate about music and especially enjoyed playing guitar. He also loved spending time on the golf course, a hobby that brought him both joy and relaxation. The highlight of his golfing days was playing a round at Augusta National with his father, a memory he treasured. Those who knew Roy will remember him for his calm and kind demeanor, as well as his wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Williams; his sister, Danna Kinard; his stepsister, Patricia (Pat) Perkins; his daughter, Ivy Kroncke; his son-in-law, Thomas (Fritz) Kroncke; and his grandchildren, Greta and Flora. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer for friends and family to gather in remembrance of Roy and the life he lived so well.
