Sandra Lewis Mcleod

On Friday, November 4, 2022, Sandra B. McLeod, loving mother, beloved aunt, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the A. G. Rhodes Nursing Home in Atlanta GA. Sandra enjoyed many artistic interests, including interior home design and needlework. She painted beautiful watercolor landscapes that hang to this day in the homes of friends and family.

Sandra was born on July 31, 1938 in Florence, South Carolina, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Burrows. After graduating from high school, she spent one year at Winthrop University studying art. She later worked for many years at AT&T in Jacksonville, Florida and Atlanta as an overseas operator and technician. After retiring, she lived in Atlanta, enjoying her family, friends, and artistic hobbies.

People always noted that Sandra had a determined will and was a devoted advocate for family and friends. Sandra is survived by her daughter Melissa McLeod and her nephew Christopher Eason and his family.

A celebration of life service will be held at The Lake House at Avondale Estates , 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates, Georgia 30002, 2-5pm on December 8, 2022.
