Sara Davis Huff passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the age of 90.
Sara is survived by her sons John Huff and Timothy Huff, both of Atlanta, Georgia and her daughters, Fiona Huff and Diane Huff, and two grandchildren, Caitlin Huff and Morgan Chen. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Davis and Maggie Davis, and her siblings, Ronald Davis and Dororthy Richard.
Sara was born on May 16, 1935 in Moundville, Alabama to George and Maggie Davis. She graduated from Hale County High School, studied Nursing at Druid City Hospital, School of Nursing, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After marrying, she and Eugene Huff relocated to Atlanta where she became O.R. Supervisor at H. Egleston Hospital for Children, and became the Director of Surgical Services at Northside Hospital. She worked as the Director at Newton General Hospital.
In 1969, the family welcomed their first son, John Davis Huff, and in 1972 their second son, Timothy Huff arrived to their home.
Sara was a kind and giving mother who loved birdwatching, was passionate about reading every book she could put her hands on and loved welcoming her grandchildren into the world where she spoiled them and shared her history of being a strong, intelligent woman succeeding in the South.
A Celebration of Life is schedule for January 2, 2025 at A.S. Turner and Sons funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM. She will be interred at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, Alabama January 3, 2025 at 2:00 CST.
