Sherry Ingram McGinnis

Sherry Ingram McGinnis, of Decatur, GA passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026 at the age of 93. She was born on April 13, 1932 in Atlanta. She later married Edward Leon McGinnis and had four sons. She spent most of her career as a crossing guard/supervisor for Dekalb County Schools. She was affectionately called "Boots" by all who knew her well. Mrs. McGinnis' family includes her son Gary McGinnis, son Danny McGinnis & wife Debbie, son Tony McGinnis & wife Christine, and son Sandy McGinnis & wife Melissa (deceased) along with her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
