Sidney Ray Sellars, 73, of Dunwoody, Georgia, passed away on April 30th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 7th, 1952, in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his charm, his love of golf and the Georgia Bulldogs, and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
For 35 years, Sid was a dedicated truck body salesman for Supreme Corporation in Griffin, Georgia, where he earned Top Sales awards on a National level. Sid marched to the beat to his own drum, living by his famous motto, "it's easier to get forgiveness than it is permission". He was an avid golfer who found peace on the course and joy in the game, often spending weekends chasing the perfect round with his friends, customers, and family. A passionate college football fan, he never missed a game day and proudly cheered for the Georgia Bulldogs. His enthusiasm was contagious - Saturdays in the fall were for cheering with family, snacks, and brown liquor. Sid brought nothing but warmth, humor, and deep loyalty to the things he loved most. He left a legacy of unconditional love, hard work, and deep respect for other.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Winona (Hitchcock) Sellars. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Doris (Lynn) Sellars, his daughters, Kayla Sellars and Michelle (Bobby) Dunning. His sons, Brad and Jason Sellars. His grandchildren, Crystal and BJ Dunning. His brother, Rodney (Janet) Sellars and his baby sister, Lisa (Mark) Tyler. His nephews, Zach (Kaitlyn) and Chad (Schyler), and his niece Andele (Jason), along with many cousins, his beloved dog, Birdie Mae, and best friend, Jack.
