Steven Clay Duncan was born in Atlanta, GA on November 7, 1958, to parents Jack D. Duncan and Rita Treon Duncan. He passed on August 17, 2026 (the date of his paternal grandfather's birthday) in Norcross, GA. Steve was a 1976 graduate of Lakeside High School and attended DeKalb Technical College. He always enjoyed the outdoors and camping and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, having achieved the rank of Life Scout.

From an early age, Steve enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking, and after college he began his career as an expert craftsman in the field. He established Steve Duncan Company in 1978 specializing in custom woodworking and furniture. His craftsmanship is on display in many homes and offices in the Atlanta area.

Steve was predeceased by his grandparents, his mother, Rita Treon Duncan, beloved aunt, Reba Treon, and his nephews Grant Vosburgh and Douglas Vosburgh. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jack D. Duncan, Sr. and Martha Rigby Duncan, Decatur; brother Jack D. Duncan, Jr., Farner, TN; sister Patti Duncan Vosburgh and husband Butch, Roswell; stepbrother David Rocker (Taylor Jesson) Sandy Springs; stepsister Lyn Rocker Pharris and husband Steve, Columbus; nieces Melissa Duncan Gallagher (Andy) Demorest; Emily Duncan Lowery (Andrew) Walhalla, SC; Jessica Vosburgh, Roswell; step nephew, Drew Rocker (Manila, Philippines), great nieces and nephews Kaleb Gallagher, Natalie Gallagher, Caitlin Rhodes, A. J. Lowery, and Eric Lowry. He is also survived by several cousins, step aunt, Carolyn Fetner, and special friend, Bonnie Peskoe-Smith.

There will be a Celebration of Life for family and close friends at a later date.
