Terrie Laine Ellison

June 5, 1955 — August 31, 2023

Terrie Laine Coffey Ellison, beloved wife, mother, sister, and life-long resident of Avondale Estates died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 31, 2023 after a brief hospital stay due to breathing complications.

Terrie will be sorely missed by her husband, Michael Ellison, daughter, Tracie Ellison, sister, Linda Gates, and niece Julie Phillips Schemenauer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Coffey and Patricia Coffey (neé Hatfield), step-mother, Margie Coffey, and nephew, Brian Phillips.

Terrie was born June 5, 1955. She married her husband, Mike, February 14, 1989, and they welcomed their daughter, Tracie, to the world March 23, 1991. She worked for BellSouth for 30 years and has spent her retired years relaxing with her family in their home on Avondale Lake. She was a joy to all who knew her. She could immediately make anyone feel like part of the family. She loved watching the fireworks on the 4th of July, finding new recipes to cook, watching TV and movies with her husband, and playing games like Scrabble and Rummy. She passed with the super blue moon, her soul shining just as big and bright. Rest in peace Terrie. Mama. Sissy.
