Tom Ripley Mooty
November 8, 1921 — January 14, 2013
Tom Ripley Mooty, 91 of Decatur, died January 14, 2013 at his home. Mr. Mooty was born November 8, 1921 in Winter Haven, FL and honorably served his country as a naval aviator in WWII. He was the youngest of five siblings, all of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jean Lee Mooty; daughter, Lisa Ann Mooty and son-in-law, Stephen Victor Hines; and granddaughters, Virginia Rose and Ripley Ann Hines. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18th from 4 to 7 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
