September 8, 1921 — October 25, 2013
Mrs. Uclete Thurmon McElhannon, 92, of Stone Mountain passed away Friday October 25, 2013. Mrs. McElhannon was along time member of Avondale First Baptist Church and was a lover of birds and animals and enjoyed growing flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. McElannon and is survived by her daughter, Sandra Griffin; son, Lee and Jan McElhannon; sister, Ann Griffeth. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons on Tuesday, October, 29th at 3:00 p.m. with interment at Apple Valley Cemetery in Commerce, GA on Wednesday, October 30th at noon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
