Van R. Gaby

Van R. Gaby died Thursday, April 29, 2010.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Gaby Nettles.  He retired from General Motors Lakewood Plant after more than 40 years of service.  He is survived by his wife, Jan Gaby of Suwanee, GA; son, Mark Lester Gaby of Edmond, OK; son-in-law, James H. Nettles of Decatur, GA; sister, Joan Gaby Reagin of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Brendan Mark Gaby, Hilary Elaine Gaby, Eve M. Nettles, and Ellen E. Nettles. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Decatur First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Naglee and Bishop L. Bevel Jones officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 East Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA 30030.  The family will received friends from 6 to 9 PM Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
