Venus Kostopoulos

Venus Kostopoulos, age 93, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her home in Tucker, GA. Venus was born on October 25, 1931, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late James A. and Florendia (Schooley) Jones. She is survived by her husband, Nick, her children, Alex, Andy (Anna), Cia (Tim Allen), Jim (Toula) & Greg, her brother Demus Jones of Hamilton, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is remembered as a loving wife, mother & yiayia, a good friend, an excellent cook, an avid Braves fan, and as a woman who faced everything - joy or obstacle - with the same graceful and practical attitude, trusting in her faith in God. She will be missed very much.

Services for Venus will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM followed by burial at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Annunciation Day School, FOCUS, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Center.
